Biography
Dr. Borrup directs the Injury Prevention Center at Connecticut Children’s and Hartford Hospital, a center that has been involved in injury research since its founding in 1990 located in Hartford, Connecticut. He is an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at the UConn School of Medicine and provides mentorship to pediatric residents on injury prevention science. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the UConn School of Social Work where he teaches Research Methods. He holds a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a law degree from Rutgers School of Law, and a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University.
Dr. Borrup has over a decade of experience in injury prevention science and is accomplished in conducting research, implementing programs, and in advocating for policies that keep children safe and injury free. He has a special interest in the application of new technologies in safety research.
